So, we won't be snarky and talk about our shirt-sleeve weather....

We returned to northern VA last weekend to pack up the house and prep for closing (scheduled for Feb. 16). The DC area had one inch of snow last night and it crippled the city. I think the weather forecasters were so focused on the upcoming blizzard that they pretty much ignored last night's weather. (In fairness, I have to say that I heard one weatherman mention it on Tuesday but it was kind of as an aside, as in "Oh, we're going to get an inch of snow tomorrow but let's talk more about the blizzard that's coming in 3 days.")

Friends who normally have a 30-45 minute commute were inching along for 3-4 hours. As one of our local newscasters said this morning: If we can't handle an inch of snow, how are we going to deal with a blizzard?

I can't wait to return to the warmth!

Well, maybe it's because I've been here for such a long time, but this is more like long sleeve ( although the shirts are light, I prefer thermal cotton) weather to me.

And socks under my sandals.

Ageed! Its been staying steady under freezing for the high lately here. Snow covers the ground. 40s sounds pretty good right now (heck, id take 40s for the high!) We are so ready to get back down hopefully by spring to continue the house hunt! Our goal is to be moved and settled by next winter.
