I have road runner with "turbo boost" and am getting 16-17MBps downloads and my uploads to my photo host site are showing 1.3-1.7Mbps - usually 512k....I'm not sure how or why, but I'll take it. I'm in Wakefield.
For once, luck is on my side when I need to upload 500MB of photos and videos! Or, the speed shown in the upload window is false. Something weird is going on either way.

I did not see quicker uploads.
TWC put a letter in the expiration notice of my 2 year contract that says they are planning to offer faster RR speeds.
Maybe you got a taste of it?
The downloads I get are fine, when the kids in the neighborhood are in school.
They are going to have to offer at least as fast an upload as you noticed last night to keep me away from Uverse.
TW plans to roll out DOCSIS 3.0 in the triangle in the 4th quarter of this year according to the tech that fixed our blown splitter a few weeks ago. Charlotte is already up ... A 50/5 plan is $99/mo.
I would guess having Uverse in the area helped spur TW along ...

According to folks in Charlotte on dslreports, TWC has flip-flopped and is now requiring a TV package to get the 50/5 tier. Hope it's not true here, but I know better. Oh well.

Figures ... they know that as content moves to the Internet they'll be left with those boat anchor programming agreements.
I'm waiting for the caps to once again surface ...

I hope this is available Triangle-wide and not just in neighborhoods that have U-Verse available. I can't get U-verse or I'd have already switched. I'm still subject to the TWC monopoly being allowed, supported, and funded by our "elected politicians."
I am getting 30mbs down which is about 10 more than the usually 20. Still crawling along on the upload side.
I think my photo upload site was (is) mis-reporting upload speed. Speed test shows the same old dog slow upload speeds as usual.
