Hello everyone,
I see there are a lot of magnet schools to choose from. I'm looking for A to B+ education. The reason I say B+ is because I want balance. I would like my kids to feel comfortable with the talents they have and to grow them but not in a fiercely competetive environment. Right now I would gauge our school system to be A-A+ which is great but I wonder often about the pressure there seems to be on kids to excel not only in school but the 50 activities they all seem to do. I want them to do their best within their abilities and to appreciate the talents of others as well...but also enjoy life a bit...some down time.
Also, what if your looking at a well rounded curriculum, some focus on Math others seem more science oriented which is fine but I'm not sure which program is truly good and how difficult it is to get in. I would appreciate the input. Thank you

http://www.wcpss.net/school-directory/magnet/index.html (broken link)

From that page you can see what schools for any age group (elementary, middle, or high school) are magnet schools; and also what their magnet program (what they specialize in) is.
