I should mention that both papa-spuds and carolina grown allow your points to roll from week to week -- so that you don't have to use them all up in one week. If they run out of something you like or you aren't going to be cooking much, then you just don't order as much and your points will roll to the next week.
I don't think C.G. used to work like this but they have made some changes including a yearly fee to cover the cost of the styrofoam boxes...
They did, but but I still had to PAY for them regardless.
We are going on year three of the Produce Box. We love it! The box easily feeds 5 of us, and it forces me to face the fact that I just don't prepare as many veggies for the family as I should when I am not getting their deliveries. When it's delivered, in order not to waste it, I serve veggies every night. Everything is delicious, although like the pp.'s I could do with a few less squash ;-) But I needed something to get us out of the banana-string bean- broccoli rut!

With Papa Spuds if you put a week on hold you don't get charged at all, so there are no points to roll forward. This works better for me because I'd never be able to use up an all those points if they just kept accumulating. I do eat a lot of fruits & veggies, but I'm only one person! :-)
