Hey everyone I recently got a job in Raleigh for ~45k a year (position is technically hourly and certainly OT eligible so it may end up being a bit more than that).

Anyway I'm a single 24 year old male, and I'll have a car. I do however technically know noobody in the city and would like to live in a social neighborhood with people my age (both for potential dating partners and for friends).

Also would like to be around any cultural/music events etc. if at all possible. I'm from NJ (though I did live in Charleston SC for several years) and am not much into country living, I much prefer more urban environments.

Anyway I'm looking for a place to live and would like a few suggestions on where to live, where to find good roommates willing to rent etc.

Any feedback would be awesome!

How far are you willing to commute? Durham might be the place for you. I'll start it out with that.

Anyone? Bueller? Anyone?

Glenwood South. Many restaurants bars and clubs geared toward young working singles.

You might shop hard for the rental you want, but you will make up a LOT with a short, low-cost commute. Lifestyle!!
