Just got back from Maine (thank you to those FEW that noticed I wasn't around!!!). Walked out of the airport last night into this HUMIDITY and UGH...I wanna go back to Maine! I hoped y'all would have fixed this while I was gone!!!
A place with a meeting room, food and beverage service, easily accessible (including accessibility for mobility-challenged CDers) in a reasonably central Triangle location, and local small business would be great.

Yep - I'd love to meet a lot of people on here (that actually exist) but no meetups for me for this reason. Have actually been stalked by someone from another unrelated forum; I no longer trust!
I suspect those who could/would go to this meetup aren't that creepy, though.
No worries on who one would meet at a meet-up. People have been friendly, plus you are in a group of people. It's not like meeting up with a person who you made contact with in a Craigs List ad.

I don't know how I'd feel about a group meetup. I have met people from here individually, though.

I was in Europe for two weeks until a few days ago, and I had the opposite opinion! Came home and jumped in the pool for the first time September.
The only time anyone ever gasped at a meet-up is when "I" walked in.....LOL!
All was fine. I even bought North Raleigh Guy a drink. He is a very nice person, as was everyone else.
