I know it seems strange but, yes, I'm looking for a live indoor tree. I'd like one about 3-4 feet tall - not a bush.

Usually, Lowe's and Home Depot carry them but with this being so close to Christmas, that area of the store is dedicated to Christmas trees.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! I'm located in Durham, but I'll gladly drive to a good source.

THANKS!!

I know it's not in Durham, but you might try calling Logan's in Raleigh: http://www.logantrd.com/

They are an awesome garden center.

The Potted Plant in Chapel Hill generally has a nice selection of tropicals and trees...

I haven't found one at Lowes or Home Depot and have been looking since August. I'm sort of new to houseplants and really want a ficus. Can anyone recommend a place near Cary or Morrisville?

I know we're not supposed to bump, but I am still looking for a real ficus tree. I see a lot of fakes all over the place (target, walmart, home goods), but I have yet to find a live one.

I've bought them at Lowes and Home Depot before- you can also check Logans and Atlantic Avenue Nursery. There *used* to be (not sure if its still there) a nursey near the corner of six forks and Lynn- if its still there you could check there as well.
