No problem, good luck! Lake Wheeler should put you pretty close to Raleigh...much closer than me. It really is a great area depending on what you are looking for. I came from DFW (a metroplex with almost as many people as the entire state of North Carolina) so it's a little country for my taste but I have enjoyed my time here so far. I still can't get over how nice everyone here is. I always thought of Texas as having the reputation of manners and what not...but this area is the real South in my opinion. Everyone has super heavy accents as well which you don't find as much as you would think in Texas.
I just love all of the trees here. If I never leave it will be because of the trees, mountains, and beaches. So close to all of it.
