Does anybody know whether the Deed Recorder's office(s) are accessible via the web for these two cities: Fuquay-Varina, and Apex? I'd like to search the records for some parcels, to find out history and maybe correlate that with other data to determine best price I could get for buildable lands.

Thanks.

Real Estate market is great now

lol... here is a somwhat creepy website that catalogs ALL of the houses in Wake County. It tells the owner's name, addresss, gives a picture of the house, and tells how much the owner paid for it. It also has the deeds and lists of owners going back to 1980.

Thanks. This is actually a very useful site as it tells you what the current owner paid for the property, so you know how far he/she can go. I was more interested in looking at buildable lands and working with the city planning dept. regarding foundation choices, etc.

Not being there in person, it's hard to guesstimate how much to budget for sitework, but every little bit of information helps

This wake county website is very helpful as it also shows zoning information ... this information is almost always never present in MLS listing.

Very very cool. It also has ties into GIS system ...

I can see how it is cool to someone who doesn't own a home in the area. Not blaming you at all. I just have to say that when I stumbled upon that website and saw that my tax bills, amount I paid for my house, and other personal information I was a little upset. That was when I was living in South Raleigh and we've since sold that house and we now rent in Apex.
