We currently have Sprint, which is inconsistent in our area. How is the coverage in Apex? I've read varying opinions on this board, depending on where you live. Anyone know about Apex, in particular? We're also considering Verizon, which has been recommended, and Cingular.

Thanks!

In Apex I've never had a problem anywhere with alltel and I would compare them along with the others you're thinking about. You can probably get a lot better plan with them and unlimited calling in a circle plan and they're the one I would recommend as the best overall. I also carry Verizon through work and an at&t pre-pay and in my experience, nobody is poor. I would say that alltel and Verizon are the most consistently good, indoors and out, in terms of signal strength and fewest drops. Verizon is more expensive and does a lot more advertising of its network, but in my experience, I would peg those two as having consistently good signals.
