The owners of the Tribeca Tavern restaurant and bar have announced plans to close the north Raleigh location on Falls of Neuse Road. I had enjoyed their burgers and it seemed the place was always busy.
Meh, went there for the first time about a month ago. My order was messed up and the burger was so-so. It was also hard to tell that they were even open from the outside when we stopped there. Place was near empty.
Sad to see a business close their doors, but there was obviously a lack of customer care when we were in there.
I've never understood the big customer draw to that place. Took my family there for dinner once that cost me over $50 and the food wasn't very good at all so we've never been back there since.
Yes the one in Cary is always packed. We go there often enough because it's convenient and the kids like it. I'm a little sick of their menu TBH, it could use a little shakeup. Food has always been good - we had a bad experience one time. It's not gourmet but it is predictable.

We once went there for Mother's Day brunch and everything was terrible and the order was screwed up.
Wrote owner and told him we were sorry we picked Tribeca Tavern instead of Mc Donald's right across the street.
Owner was beyond rude but eventually refunded our total bill.
As a radio personality on WPTF once said "Don't let the door hit you where toe Lord split you".
