I have what may be an odd question but trying to work through some things without giving too much detail.

Is anyone familiar with the Moss Creek subdivision in Concord, NC and if so, are there any subdivisions in the Raleigh area that are similar with the same excellent school system?

And if no one is, can anyone tell me some nice subdivisions (pool, good community, school-aged kids, sidewalks, etc.) that is within a good school district in the Raleigh area? Our budget is really no more than $350K and we have a child in 6th grade. I'm sure a lot of people will say that our budget is too low but I hear that a lot for the Moss Creek subdivision and I've found plenty of homes there within our budget.

Someone help settle my nerves please! :-)

You can use this site to research which Raleigh area schools have test scores and other data that is the same as the school in Concord, then use a realtor to find subdivisions that meet your criteria within those Raleigh area school attendance zones.

Does it have to be Raleigh or are you open to surrounding suburbs? I see one sub $350K house in Davis Drive MS zone in Cary. It is a National Blue Ribbon school.

Surrounding suburbs would be fine also! I'm just not even sure where to look!

Not quite at the point to work with a realtor also since this is all new information to us...

Since no one has said it yet, be sure to check out all the ins and outs of school assignment and potential reassignment in Wake County. I don't have a dog in the fight but it always garners a lot of discussion on this forum.

I don't even know where that school is or what the issues (if any) are with it and reassignment but I know it's a thing generally, lol. Even the childfree in the area like me know it's a big deal so I always try to mention it in these types of threads if someone hasn't already said it.

I live in Dominion Park in North Raleigh. Homes in your price range and, though I don't have kids, I've heard the schools around them are great. Would probably also apply to Harrington Grove/Harrington Pointe, Woodlawn, and the other surrounding neighborhoods. I live on the Glen Arbor side of Dominion park and there are sidewalks that are great for walking/running/dog walking, etc. Several community pools/tennis, and basketball.

I just saw a Coming Soon sign on Miranda on the Glen Arbor side when I was walking the dogs last night. I bet as spring comes, more listings will pop up. But, homes do move fast in this area so you have to be ready to go. I'm going to send you a PM.
