Is it just me or do people not understand how to make a left turn around here? It seems like every day I pull up to a stop line and see someone coming barreling at me head on with a look of panic on their face. If you can't make your turn at the correct angle, you're probably going too fast.

That and people that can't hold their lane on a multiple-lane turn.

/dumb rant

I find the guide lines often worn away. That does not help.

And are especially difficult to see in the rain. Worse in the rain at night.

People don't even follow the striping when they are there and visible.

You shouldn't need lines to guide you in a turn.

But I'm mostly talking about single lane turns where people are just lazy. Especially in parking lots.

There are a lot of "set up to fail" intersections around here.. That is...the gradient and angle makes it so that people in the opposite-side left-turning lanes; block the view of oncoming traffic. It's a lose-lose situation.

The worst example I can think of is the intersection of 55 and Olive Chapel/Hunter Street. I have to turn left onto Hunter Street from 55 every time I go to visit my mom's house and unless there's the very rare instance of no north-bound traffic on 55 or the even rarer instance of a green arrow......It's pretty scary.

That's different. I'm talking about people making a left turn and cutting the corner of the lane in the opposite direction of the lane they're turning into. Often someone will pull up to a stop line and nearly collide with someone making a lazy left.
