It's pricey but the food is pretty good. It's not traditional dim sum so be aware of that ("Asian fusion") but it's worth going once for a special occasion. Note that you'll need reservations or if not, then show up right when it opens.
shocking, shocking, I tell you, that a fancy upscale downtown restaurant is charging more for similar food than what you’d pay in your suburban strip mall shopping centers.
Brewery Bhavana is not the Laotian restaurant - that's Bida Manda. And it's definitely not authentic dim sum, just their twist on a couple dim sum items.

Totally wish that you could.
Yin Dee is the only Laotian place I know like that, and while it is VERY good, it is nothing like Bida Manda. Apples and Oranges. Bida Manda is a sit-down place to have a memorable meal, and enjoy the experience, including excellent service, and food created to order. Yin Dee is really good food, but you're in and out in 20 minutes, standing in line, bumping into people, and throwing away your paper plates when you're done.
I like both equally, but for different reasons, different occasions. Other than "Laotian", they really have nothing in common at all.
I have. That's why I would normally go to Dim Sum house in Morrisville, instead of driving all the way downtown.
Is dim sum house any good? I admit I'm a bit spoiled about dim sum, and have not heard positive things about this place. In fact, several knowledgeable people have said that most of the dumplings are frozen.
Since you were the one that steered me to Szachuan Garden in Morrisville, I'm trusting your palette.
Bida Manda is the most overrated place I have ever been to. Lousy overpriced hipster food. Brewery bhavana is better but also overrated imo.
I pretty much agree with you. But service was good at Bida Manda, except for the glass and water on the floor (wasn't our waitress).
