Not sure if I fall into the “anti-mask” category or not. I’m vaccinated, and don’t intend to wear a mask. When I see a “recommendation” I always choose not to. But again, that’s because I know I’m vaccinated and am good with any risk. I do think your point is relevant on unvaccinated travelers from low vaccination counties.

Yup, my point was it's the very people who most need to be wearing masks to protect others, including everyone who cannot be vaccinated, as well as themselves that likely won't be following the recommendation. That doesn't make me feel particularly comfortable going anymore even though I would wear a mask indoors and also outdoors in tight crowds as would my kids.

I'm vaccinated as are my kids, but I have little interest in testing the efficacy in a crowded building with a bunch of unmasked potentially unvaccinated folks from all over the state. Not worth the risk just to see some award winning hot pepper jelly and the like.

I wouldn’t be caught dead in an exhibit hall at the State Fair this year. Hopefully we can drive up next year.

Husband and I are almost at our 6 month mark with Pfizer. After seeing this story today there is no way that I want to be in large crowds of unmasked people whether it be indoors or outdoors.

If the media reported on fatal car crashes like they are reporting on COVID, there would be a decent percentage of the population that would never drive again.

The hospital COVID-19 census is back down to where it was in June. I'm happy and the entire staff is happy also. We finally get a break.

I hope the scientists who said that there will not be many variants anymore - are correct. It's mainly due to that the coronavirus has invaded the entire Earth and nowhere for it to go.

Gottlieb hasn’t been exactly a “Lefty Alarmist” through this thing. I’ll be watching this space

However I am glad you and your colleagues are getting a break with the situation stabilized locally. Cheers to you all.

Glad to hear.

I haven’t been hearing many rumblings about new variants. Last time when things settled down for us, Delta was ripping through India. I’m not aware of anything like that currently, so hopefully the winter wave will be ok.

Exactly - it was calm here in the US at that time but if you read the Indian news, it was terrorizing them over there. No news like that now, even if you listen to "alarmist" news all day.

Let's be hopeful.
