Rangers gave it their all, and left the ice with heads hanging down, defeated.
The Canes have more to give Friday night.
It would be great to take the first two in the series.
And....
Canes are 2-0 after winning Game 2, 2-0.
Antti Raanta. Antti Raanta. Antti Raanta.
Smith and Cole are totally validating Don Waddell's "We want some veteran experience for the post-season."
I caught a PNC T-Shirt parachute. So did the guy behind me and he gave it to the 9 y.o. girl I usually give them to. Hmpf.
Sunday afternoon at MSG would be a great time to break the "Home Team Wins" trend.
Yes it does appear to b our friend and I hope that streak continues. Tampa has been great at blocking shots as well. So not just having to rely on their goaltender like Rangers appear to be doing.
If we get past the Rangers, which I think we will, beating Tampa is going to be tough.
I want the Canes to (advance and) beat Tampa so badly. Have an acquaintance who has never even mentioned hockey and this year has decided they’re the biggest Lightning fan of all-time. Even to the point of running down my team and others who have decades of rooting loyalty behind them. I was already rooting for the Canes in the EC, but boy it just went to a different level. Go Canes go!

A lot of bandwagon fans coming out of the woodwork. I can't lie my first NHL game up in Ottawa they were playing carolina. I believe this was back in 1997-98. At the time I was like who in the hell is Carolina haha. I moved here in 2000 and was still a Toronto and somewhat of a Rangers fan. But switched over could have supported Carolina since about 2002-2003. I still root for Toronto but canes are my top pick. It was awesome watching them win the cup in 06 in person. I'm hoping for a repeat and I would love nothing more than for them to beat Tampa.
