Every window in our house is occupied by one on a smart switch. Didn't know they weren't a thing here.

I’m sure a few people still do them but it used to be the most popular type of Christmas lights. I don’t see them much any more. Wish ‘celebratory gunfire’ would stop trending too.

I used to do the lights in the window but I switched to wreaths. The battery operated candles are great.

More people with guns are wanting occasions to show they have them. It means they are strong. Tough. Not to be messed with. Rightly or wrongly they are reacting to societal stresses.
