It is like what I see throughout the Triangle on bumperstickers: 'I don't care how you did it up North!' This sort of closed-minded, and in many cases, racist, homophobic, resistant to progress attitude is associated with the U.S. South.
And that is the most ignorant and easily disproved statement I've seen today.
First of all, it has absolutely nothing to do with racism, but beyond that,
we know about your decaying, backward, crime-ridden cities. We don't want those things here, and if that sort of thing is what you consider 'progress', then we aren't interested in your ideas of 'progress'. Capish?

Sorry, maybe you wrongly assumed i moved to the Triangle from what is considered Northern U.S.
I hope you are in close contact with your state representatives. Sounds like you have some issues wrt to transplants.

This whole topic has really gotten out of hand and turned into a bitter shoutfest.
Just b/c you see the flag here doesn't mean this area is hostile against different races. I'm not white, black, or hispanic so you'd think I would have been kicked the heck out long ago. Lived here for 25 years...never had any real problems...more questions than anything...and I was happy to answer them.
This has NOTHING to do with the triangle anymore...that's my whole point. It's turned into angry tranpslants and angry native NCians and southerners fighting over which one has the right to be more angry...pretty ridiculous.
