You've piqued my interest. And I'm not bothered by being the only white person in a restaurant if the food is good.

So that’s where everyone in Durham eats? Any other suggestions?

Well I’m glad you at least acknowledge that basing a city’s demographics on one restaurant is ridiculous.

On top of that, downtown Durham lacks basic amenities like grocery stores, drug stores, and hardware stores...

That's part of the problem.

And all those hipsters have aged, and are now emeritus hipsters. They're in the power positions now lol

Yea thanks for correcting my misperceptions. I’ve been here 13 years and live 15 minutes away but I’ve only been there once, apparently.

Good to know there is some diversity in Durham.

It's hard to believe anyone who's spent a significant amount of time in Durham would need to ask where all the black people are.

The original question was about downtown. I go to places in Durham where everyone speaks Spanish. But I don't assume that's the *only* place where I will hear it.

It's good to support black owned businesses but I'm pretty sure people go to other places as well.

If course they do which is why your questioning here is so baffling to everyone.
