Gosh, as a woman, I can't find anyone to give me a haircut for less than $50. I did Great Clips once, big mistake. I'd love to find someone with some sort of skill that charges $30-35 for a decent woman's haircut, but that's not possible around here. Last two cuts I got (different people) cost $50+ tip and neither were very good cuts.
This, for most of my adult life. Actually wore out two pairs of clippers during that time
I still have, and use the Oster clippers my Dad used on me back in the '60s. We would sit out on the car port and he would give me a crew cut. If any of my friends came by, he would cut their hair too. If you did that today, the parents would probably sue you !

Too late for me to sue my dad for some of his handiwork on my head....

During Cov 19,I was in Chinatown for my regular routine grocery shopping, next to the grocery store is popular hair salon,I found one lonely hair stylist waiting for customers so I decide to get a haircut from her.
No wash, just a cut as I just washed my hair the night before, she has been there for 35 years and she charges $15 for a hair cut,and she is just as good as my regular stylist,he charges $95.
But be careful, you get what you pay for, I know a guy who ends up with lice from getting a cheap haircut/
Prices at Guys' Place, Stonehenge in north Raleigh are 2.5X what they were when it opened 10-12 years ago. And no more free peanuts, either. Still better value than Great Clips' full price.

That's a great story. They don't make them like they used to. The first one the vibrating part broke. The second one wouldn't cut after a while. Just choked when you try to run it through hair. We'll see how long the current one lasts.

$50 for a good haircut sound reasonable ,then comes tips.
if they do a good job,it is worth that $50.
Thanks everyone for the suggestions. Sounds like I will be waiting for the great clips sales with the understanding that this is now the market price for even the simplest of haircuts.
15.99 at cuts r clips is the cheapest I could find
