Well. People are moving into North Carolina in droves. They love what we have here.....yet they vote blue and destroy the very thing they came here for. Go figure. North Carolina is turning purple. Fast

Maybe we should address the underlying causes of homelessness instead of vilifying the population. The lack of mental health treatment, drug rehabilitation, and housing makes it difficult for a homeless person to get a job and break the cycle.

As noted, NC IS purple, and has been for a good while now. I guess you're not a native? NC was traditionally very blue (although a generally moderate/semi-conservative blue). Its become much more red as the state has welcomed tens of thousands of new residents. What you and others fail to realize is that many people who move to NC are voting republican at a much higher percentage than natives. Brunswick Couty is agreat example. Literally thousands of people from the northeast have moved there in the last 20 years. Yet its far more solidly republican than it ever has been.
You can relax, your fears of yankee blue invasion is showing no signs of coming to fruition.

This is precisely the approach California tried to take in recent years. Watch the video to get an idea how that worked out for them.
Nope . I'm not native Owen but have lived in Western North Carolina for 30 plus years. Over half my life. So. That counts for something. Been to Asheville lately Owen? Not what it used to be 10 or 20 years ago. Now what has changed? Hmmmm ?
