I buy 9' trees for my house, which rules out Food Lion and other discount locations. At some point, I'm willing to pay an extra $35 to get the tree I want vs. driving around Raleigh hoping to find something a few dollars cheaper.

That wasn't really the point of the thread, I'm just curious how insanely priced Christmas trees are this year during the current economic climate.
Curious to see what everyone will be paying for Christmas trees this year. Food Lion is at $55 this year, aren’t they usually 30 bucks?
Last year Food Lion trees were $49 in my neck of the woods. The last time I saw them for $29.99 was in 2020 I believe. I remember an NPR story explaining a lot of tree farmers didn't plant as many trees during the 2008-2010 economic downturn and those trees would be coming to market in the 2021-2023 timeframe, so supply will be down and prices will be up!
