Does anyone have any recommendation for a dentist that does implants, preferably in the Cary area?

Also, if you are a customer of the dentist you recommend, does insurance pay anything?

Triangle Implant Dentistry, Dr Reebye is the best by any measure. I did not have implants with him but had a tooth pulled by him and it took 30 seconds. My son had 4 wisdom teeth pulled at the same time and took one Advil afterward....only because I insisted. I had a conversation once with his assistant - she was an instructor at the dental school he went to. They both ended up here in NC and she went to work for him - she said he was amazing from his first day of school.

Downside? Billing department is clueless and uncooperative.

Insurance? That depends entirely on YOUR plan - there is no universal dental insurance that all covers the same thing. I happen to have good insurance for dental. Your mileage may vary.

Thank you for the feedback!

My experience with dental insurance is fairly consistent -- cleanings are covered, some x-rays, but then everything else seems to be covered very lightly (maybe 50%). I honestly don't think my current dental plan is good nor bad, just average.

Thanks for the heads up about the billing department. That seems to be a spreading craze in the medical world!

Totally agree that Dr Reebye is fantastic. He is dually trained, both as a dentist and physician…..thus his credentials are MD, DMD. He trained as a dentist in NY and received his MD degree at UNC Chapel Hill.

Cary Periodontics and Implant Dentistry | Michael J. Brenegan, D.D.S., P.A.
I have 3 implants from Dr. Michael Brenegan.
1 done and then 2 a few years later.
100% pleased with the results.

He doesn't do the crowns, and will refer you to a specialist for that.

Dr. Murrell did all three of my crowns, and again 100% pleased with the results.

Yeah.... It is $pendy work and a several months process.

I was quoted $30,000,00 to redo my bottom teeth. My insurance would only pay $1500.

Not only the expense, but don’t you go for a year with no teeth, while the screws heal? My friend has gone over a year waiting for the implant on one tooth to be finished. No way am I going a year looking like a toothless hag.

You can get a temporary partial.
They call it a "flipper."
I had one for a front tooth implant.

Didn't bother when I had the two back implants done.
