I find that the Filet-O-Fish is the only good item at McD, apparently people love it or hate it. They use wild-caught Alaskan Pollock, which is one of my favorite fish. The only one better is the fish sandwich from a local place called Ivar's, but it's Cod and $10.50 with fries.
I have actually never had a filet of fish at McDonald’s in my entire life, and I eat McDonald’s much more than I like to admit. Hard to pass up the QPC.

McDonald's catches flack... but for the $4-5 or so, a QPC is a perfectly fine burger.
The crispy chicken (not be confused with McChicken) used to be solid too (havent had it in years though).
And no, I dont think theres a single a la carte item that even flirts with $10 at McDonalds (unless you're at an airport or something).
Quality at each McDonald's is highly variable. Sometimes I'm surprised at how good it is, too many times disappointed at how bad it is. I like the Filet of Fish, the soft steamed bun and the tartar sauce, no cheese please. Prices have skyrocketed here, it's no longer a good deal to eat at McDonald's. I can get very good fish and chips at a local restaurant for not much more, and a good pint of beer for $3 during happy hour. Lots of fast food places charge almost $3 for a coke now.

Details please. I'm all in! That's about $7 for fish and chips and a pint. Even at $10, I'm all in. At $15 I'm still intrigued if it includes a decent beer.

I disagree, based on decades years of eating at Mickey D's. Love em or hate em, you know what to expect. Ray Kroc wouldn't have it any other way (though he has been gone a long time). Of course, there will be an occasional hic up, or lazy franchise location, but you usually get what you are expecting.
Agree - that's one of the things I like about McDonalds and fast food in general. You can literally be anywhere and you know what you're gonna get. That's what makes fast food successful.

True to a point. We were surprised while in Hawaii to see that on the menu they had Linguica and eggs on the menu, served with rice.
