I'm looking for one of those express car washes where you just drive through and it gets washed and blow dried and then you drive off. Preferably I'm trying to find a "touchless" car wash where there are no brushes because I've heard that at some of the cheaper ones they can scratch up your paint pretty good. I saw one called Express Car Wash in Apex it looks pretty new and they have free vacuums as well. Anyone been there?
My understanding is that they use fairly strong cleaners to get the dirt and grime off (no brushes to assist with that) so you have a good chance that any paint protectors that you've applied (e.g., car wax) will also be stripped off.
Now. . . some will say that modern paint jobs with clearcoats are made to withstand the elements without wax. . . . .
I'm not an expert on car washes or car paint jobs, so hopefully someone else will offer better advice.
Scruffy Duck in Laura Village shopping center, Apex
I go out of my way sometime to take my car to Scruffy Duck. They always do a great job. Bunkeys is just okay.
