Anything? My wife and I are spending the night in Raleigh on August 12th,and we need suggestions on what to do,where to go,where to eat etc...
The main reason we're going to Raleigh is to say we've visited North Carolina's capital. It's just something we do. Of course we're interested in what else Raleigh has to offer.

There's a terrible show called "America's Most Talented" that airs Tuesday nights on NBC........a lot of people also seem to enjoy spending Tuesday night at the Golden Corral...........or if you're feeling especially adventurous, there's always a trip to the local Harris Teeter.
one of my favorite things to do in raleigh on tuesday nights is the "bull riding and barrel racing" at Circle Farm on 401 adjacent to Spring Forest. If you've never been to a rodeo, it's a total blast! The kids doing the chicken dance, the adults chasing calves ... the local "flavor" it's a blast - and very family oriented.
Or, you could go to glenwood south and experience the lounge scene, or grab a coffee at Starbucks and evesdrop on other people's conversations ... or you could go to the WalMart in Wake forest and wonder where in the sam Hell these people all come from!
shaba shabu just inside the beltline at wake forest road is yummy - thai and japanese offerings, great sushi. An in Cary is spectacular. You could go hang out at North Hills Mall - which in many ways is the "new cityscape" - has the feel of walking through a downtown instead of that horrid mall feeling about it.
Go see Jack Johnson at the Walnut Creek (or whatever it's called now) Ampitheathre, if you like his music that is....get a picnic in on the lawn first then some laid basic music to chill to..
Spirits and Wisdom meets every second Tuesday of the month (a young adult Catholic group). They have dinner followed by a speaker at a local
restaurant. Location changes every month. Not sure where they are meeting in August, but I can found out if you are intersted.
If you like to shop visit Cameron Village or the Triangle Town Center. Both of these areas are set up like small downtowns so they don't have the corporate shopping complex feel.
Wow, reading through these shows the true diverse offerings of this areas...all good VERY different ideas! (except that TV thing...ignore that!)
