hey there, all:

Looks like I'll be on a business trip the first week of November so now I need to arrange absentee or early voting.

How do I do that? I'm in Cary.

Thanks!

There is also going to be 'one stop' voting - early voting. I just read in the paper that triangle town center will have voting as early as Oct 16 for 3 days or so then Oct 23rd will be open until the election. There are other sites as well. I just looked:

Cary Towne Center Mall
1105 Walnut St., Cary Oct. 16-Nov. 1
Oct. 16-18 (10:00am - 7:00pm)
Sun., Oct 19 & 26 (1:00pm - 5:00pm)
Oct. 23-25 (10:00am - 7:00pm)
Oct. 27-31 (10:00am - 7:00pm)
Sat., Nov. 1 (10:00am - 1:00pm)

This site lists them all: North Carolina State Board of Elections

or google: one stop voting wake county and you'll find the site if it gets cut.

One stop early voting will be open 7 days a week beginning Thursday, 10/16 through Saturday, 11/1 in All counties in North Carolina. Most counties will have multiple locations so you can go to anyone convenient to you within the county you're registered in. If you're not already registered you can do that too and vote immediately, just bring some sort of ID that shows your name and address (license, utility bill, etc.) You can't beat it, unless you like standing in long lines on election day, 11/4. Keep in mind the last day of one-stop, 11/1, is extremely busy too so vote early during the one stop schedule.

But, one-stop will be quite limited when it first opens--in Wake, only the board of Elections downtown will be doing it. Then the "Second wave" of one-stop opens on Oct 22 (or thereabouts) in more locations.

Whatever, whenever, wherever, just be sure to VOTE!!
