The annual Piedmont Farm Tour is this weekend. It's a great opportunity to check out local farms and dairies.

Thanks for posting the reminder - I would have totally missed going!

There's also the 144th anniversary of the largest civil war surrender at Bennett Place in Durham this weekend. It's a free event with living history and tours.

"This commemorative event marks the largest surrender of the American Civil War, which helped reunify the U.S."

NC Historic Sites - Bennett Place - Special Events

I went on the Farm Tour last year and had a blast, so much so that I started my own garden this year.

For the dog lovers out there the Dog Days of Spring event is on Saturday!

Event: Dog Days of Spring
When: April 25th from 10 am – 3 pm
Where: Falls River Town Center, 11048 Raven Ridge Rd, Raleigh
Description: The Falls River Town Center shopping center is holding a fun event to include a Pet Walk around the center, pet contests, dog training demos, pet photos & more. The admission is a bag of pet food or a small donation and the proceeds will go to local rescue centers (SPCA is one).
