Yes, it's headed straight for Cary! Err....wait a second.....Cary?!?! Really? Doesn't Mother Nature know that Cary is set on a pedestal higher than tornadoes? Surely Obama won't allow this to happen.

At 604 pm edt...national weather service doppler radar continued to indicate a tornado. This tornado was located near carpenter...or 6 miles west of cary...moving east at 25 mph. Locations in the path of the storm include... Apex...morrisville...
Rdu international airport and lake wheeler.

I believe you can sign up with weather alert from WRAL and get a message on your cell phone.

We live in Carpenter Village, there was some hail, but didn't see/hear a tornado anywhere.

I'm the kind of person who doesn't know where my cell phone is half the time.. and I'm often at home without having a radio or TV on. I had no idea about the tornado alert until I sat down at my computer.. not good at all!

Of course now I'm wondering where I'd hide anyhow - I don't have any rooms that don't have windows or skylights!

It's no longer a threat to Cary. I guess Mother Nature recognized who she was dealing with after the president called! Go Barack!

I also appreciate my weather alert from WRAL coming 20 minutes after the "tornado" had passed through the carpenter area....
