It's not so much the heat...it's the humidity. 100 degrees here and 100 degrees in AZ feel very, very different. And yes, I've lived in both places so I know how it feels. Still hot as he11, but different.

Yes, good point. I much prefer the humidity. Dry air makes for dry skin.
And I much prefer the desert. Here I have constant flopsweat coming off my head in the summer. It's not attractive. In the desert that's not an issue with evaporation. And it *feels* cooler with lower humidity. That's a fact, Jack.

Sounds like NC is not the place for you in the summer. I enjoy my summer sweats and the slower pace. I really enjoy the seasons, including summer. I am enjoying winter less and less though, as I am getting more and more accustomed to heat and more uncomfortable with anything chilly. We never thought we would end up adjusting so quickly and would start feeling cold when it is 50.
NC is not the place for me in the summer, that is true. However, my employer wouldn't take kindly to me not being in the office and I'm a slave to having a job...so I sit in AC and get comfortable and be thankful I wasn't living in the 1800's or 1900's before AC was invented.
I haven't had some good sun tea in a long time. Thanks for making me thirsty!
