Does anyone have any info on when the high definition Weather Channel will be coming to Time Warner Cable in the Raleigh/Durham area? I see they just launched the new channel and hope we get it soon.
TWC is in the middle of rolling out Navigator. Then everything will get switched to Switched Digital Video. Then the floodgates should open for HD. Other markets have gone through this conversion recently and are seeing new channels rolling out now.

Great, thanks. I love HD. The Weather Channels doom & gloom, life as we know it is about to end, prepare for Earth's destruction reports will be even better in HD.
Hmmm...I thought they launched it already?? I still prefer to get my weather from the government website NOAA's National Weather Service ... the weather channel has gone off on a tangent since its heyday back in the 90's.

The Weather Channel has launched their HD channel, but it is up to each cable company to pick it up. Not all do.
I agree with you about them going way off track. They used to be good and I don't know what happened to them.
I don't know about TWC but Dish Network and Directv have had it since last year. However, The Weather Channel just recently started to actually show HD. Now that I mention it, I'm watching one of their HD programs right now on Directv.
