We went last year to the Southern Ideal Home Show at the Fairgrounds. It was much better than this ACS one held at the Raleigh convention center.

The ACS show is much smaller, fewer vendors, and just not much to it. We cruised up and down every isle in about 45 minutes.

My advice? Stay home and wait until the Southern Ideal show at the Fair.

Great tip. We used a BOGO coupon from the mail and asked for and got a free parking coupon on entry to the hall. We enjoyed the show, despite the carnival barkers, and may actually use some of the vendors we met.

I wasn't that impressed with the Southern Ideal Home Show - so now I'm doubly glad I didn't bother with the convention center one!

The two shows are so similar and spaced so closely together that I fear they just split the visitors. So vendors have twice the work and expense to see the same number of people.

I'm probably done with the convention center show. Unless, of course, we get good results.

Thanks for the tip and good luck.

I went this weekend. I had a free ticket & it came w/free parking so it was a good way to kill a couple hrs on a rainy day. Lots of candy because it was Halloween, so it was sort of like trick-or-treating without having to wear a costume. :-)

I agree with the previous posts - it was pretty boring. I saw a shower head I wanted to buy from ProSparkleIt but forgot about it before I left so I went on their website on Monday morning. Wow, I was shocked to see that the price jumped from $105 at the show up to $220 on their website. So disappointed!
