Just looking for any fellow UNC MBA'ers out there on the quality of the education you received from UNC (Chapel Hill) and/or anyone who has experience living in both towns. It's really come down to these two schools that we have narrowed it down to and we are having a hard time picking! We currently live in Iowa City, IA and are looking for milder winters (my fiance' is from Kentucky, so she REALLY wants to get back to the south), sweet tea!, and good ol' southern hospitality in a more modern setting.

Any advice is much appreciated, thank you!

Interesting that you would would pick those two MBA programs. They're tied for 18th in the 2007 U.S. News & World Report rankings.

UNC. One of the best, if not the best, state universities in the nation. Have had two friends and a brother-in-law get MBA's there and were completely satisfied.

Have you visited both places yet? I think, when picking a grad school it is the best thing to do. I would take a trip to both locations (if you can) to see which one fits you the most.

What is your field and where do you want to work after b-school? This will determine which school you should attend.
