I just moved to North Raleigh so I'm not too sure the best way to get around. I have family friends coming tomorrow to see our new place but they want to visit Chapel Hill. What is the best way for them to travel to Chapel Hill from Capital Blvd? They are also looking to move down here so what is the best roads they can take to let them see around Chapel Hill? Thanks!
Try one of the online maps programs, like Google Maps (Google Maps). You can plug in the addresses and get door-to-door directions.
I know, plus we have a GPS system, but they don't have an address they are going to. They just want to explore the area. So I was looking for a central road that takes them thru Chapel Hill.
Franklin Street goes right through downtown Chapel Hill. Take I-40 to 15-501, turn left off. After a few miles, Franklin Street splits off to the left. Follow for a couple more miles takes you into Chapel Hill.
Take 540 West to 40 West. You'll pass the Streets of South Point. Exit on 15-501 and make a left at the light. If you make a right at the light you will be in Durham. Once you make that left, you are in Chapel Hill. You should take them to Southern Seasons, it's a pretty cool store in Chapel Hill. Franklin street is the main street (downtown area) in Chapel Hill. I hope this helps.
Thanks everyone. That was exactly what I was looking for. Thanks again!!
