Many years ago (I won't go into how many, haha) I broke horses for a concession in Custer State Park. I was hired by the concession owner. The people leading the trail rides were also hired by the concession owner. Not sure about the people doing the upkeep or running the office selling tickets.

The Jeep Wagoners without the tops would be fun. They are onto something. Jeeps and women have one thing in common.

Just wanted to put this out there, since the postings are up today, and some will only be open until next week!

Summer seasonal positions at Jewel Cave National Monument:
https://www.usajobs.gov/JobSearch/Search/GetResults?Keyword=&Location=Jewel+Cave+National+M onument&AutoCompleteSelected=false&search.x=30&sea rch.y=12

Edited to add: Just checked, and that looks to be ALL of the summer seasonal positions within the Custer area for the Fed agencies. The ones with JECA in the listing number are specific to Jewel Cave.

Get on a hand crew and go fight fires. That would be an awesome summer job. I have a feeling it will be an active year.

With moisture being what it is or what it isn't right now and the pine beetle creating all sorts of standing dead all it will take is a good dry lightning storm and we are in major trouble.

If I was you, I'd experience Spearfish and Sturgis this year. That gives you the option of Deadwood and a few other close-by places too.
Spearfish is really turning into something special.

I could drive to the northern hills, I'm just not too sure what I could do there as far as a job.
