I'm selling my home in NW Houston, my KW Realtor used CSS. She set it up where they wouldn't contact me since the house is empty/move-in ready, and I'm in Austin full-time. I'll likely use it when I establish with a brokerage.

No you won't as there is no CSS in Austin, or any other showing service. We've been trying for years to get CSS down here, but so far, no luck. CSS did have another meeting a couple of weeks ago for another presentation, but there's just too much backwards thinking in Austin that the board might say no again.

Good to know! The agent friend I spoke with must have been mistaken then. He does business in Houston, DFW, and Austin.

I think we'll have a showing service soon. It's not official, or a foregone conclusion, but the recommendation to the board from the mls committee on which I serve is to bring in CSS. The board will vote on it next meeting, but then if it passes, implementation will take 3-6 months.
