Obviously, you didn't read the rest of the thread....
I sent an email to the officer manager (last Monday) regarding everything who is out of town till the 22nd. She forwarded the email to the asst manager who I had the two ugly conversations with. That made no sense to me at all. I made it very clear I didn't wish to speak with the assistant manger again. The asst manager me an email apologizing but I didn't respond. I also got a phone call 5days later from our agent who wanted to speak with me. I didn't contact her back as well. I'm now dealing with her assistant who is now handling everything including our open houses. She is actually communicating with us and I will speak with the officer manager when she gets back in town.
We are just waiting the contract out at this point because I'm not sure if we transfer agents if it will extend the contract. I never got any answer to that.
A lot of this is self inflicted. Why won't you return calls or emails? Are we being trolled or is this real?
Well my father had a major stroke yesterday and is in ICU. We don't know what is going to happen with that. We got two offers on the property at once and played them against each other. Took the higher one due to the immediate emergency. Lower than we originally wanted but at this point, we have no choice. We're happy it's just going to be done and now the money can be used for my father for help if he makes it
If he passes away during this, the home sale is going to be held up. Depending on his mental capacity, you'd be wanting a limited power of attorney for real estate ASAP.
And in advance, I'm sorry of that comes across as crass or negative in any way. It's not intended to, rather you should be informed about selling real property in the midst of a tragic event.

My brother has POA for him so it will be going through. The contract was actually signed before this happened. We're talking literally 30 mins before. Very freaky.

Check the laws in your state. The sale may be able to close, but if he passes, the proceeds may be required to be held in escrow for a period of one year, waiting for potential claimants. Some states allow heirs to take out a surety bond and this allows proceeds to be distributed, but all you own could be collateral as part of the terms of the bond. Do consult an attorney, your state could be much different.

I understand what you are saying. I don't foresee an issue.
Wow so much has happened since I last posted. Father passed on the 5th. Consulted with a RE atty and deed was quick claimed into my brothers name so the sale can still continue. We've been going through the house since I arrived on the 30th and no where near done. I'm talking 10 hour days.
Anyways, still on schedule for the end of October closing unless they want it sooner which we'll agree to. Total nightmare this whole situation has been from start in March until now.

You have our condolences and our fingers are crossed that closing goes smoothly as scheduled.
Well STILL issues with the agent. Never heard back about the appraisal after several inquires. Closing date was moved up from 30th to 28th and we just found out yesterday because I asked if it was still going on for the 30th!! I mean who has the closing date moved up and doesn't ask if the seller is available that day and just does it without approval??? UGH I cannot wait for this to be over....
