When I picked our realtor back in August, I felt she was the best woman for the job because everywhere you go, you see her face. "If anyone can sell our home, she will" I told my husband. She gets the listings, puts them out there, a real hustler.
You confused the marketing this agent is doing to promote herself with getting a house sold. I have no idea why you mean by a hustler other than her marketing seems to have been effective in getting you to buy into listing with her not once, but twice.
"Well, if I had nothing to report to you, why call you and make you more depressed?". That was her answer.
All I can say is WOW. I hope the new agent is a better match!!
Just to add in here. In MN we have a communication consent line to sign with the client. I use this opportunity when they sign to ASK how they want to be contacted (email, phone) and how OFTEN they want to be contacted - even if I have no news.

Sarah, we love her. My husband and I connected with her right away and we both agreed no matter what happens with the house situation, changing realtors was a positive thing. Thanks for your good wishes!

Oh good, I'm so glad. What a relief! Regarding communication: One should never assume...you know the rest of the line, I think!
First, it is shameful that your Realtor has not been in more contact with you.
The market has changed all over the country and the mortgage quailifications have changed, making it even more difficult.
A good agent with a good team should be able to handle 50 listings, and you said she was out there with a lot of publicity.
It sounds like she tried to keep the deal you had together and unforseen happenings messed up your deal.
I would first call her and ask for the listing back, you are unhappy. If she doesn't call and make an appointment with the broker. If they still refuse, call an attorney and call your local board of Realtors.

All the best!

Thank you Kevin. We actually had a meeting with her and the office manager and we were released from our contract with the understanding we needed to choose another realtor out of the same company. Thankfully we had already decided on someone there that we liked. We met with our new realtor last week and she has really gone all out to prepare us and our home for the relisting. She has even spoke with all 4 of our children and shared with them what they are able to do to help with this whole process.
