They are not burglar bars? They are a style? LOL. I wasn't born yesterday.

They are burglar bars.... to keep out burglars. Period. Yes, lots of people have them in cuba.... because there are lots of burglars.

i think it's to keep birds from hitting the windows, distracted by the beautiful sunlight and the colorful manicured landscaping.

If that house was in an area that needed bars on the windows, the A/C units would be chained down too.

That is Spanish style bars which are very common in Spain. But they are placed in all brick houses. I wouldn't expect them to be allowed here due to fire codes.

I don't know what controls NAR has in place for use of the license, but there doesn't seem to be much control over presentation and quality.
Seeing ads for Samsung around listings was aggravating.

I agree!

Need a city permit here to install "Security" bars here and bedrooms must have an approved release or no go...

I agree with OP, the redone realtor.com is horrible. It was my favorite until they ruined it. I will be trying Redfin and Zillow out based on comments here. I am pre-looking long distance and am not in a position to waste my time or a realtor's time yet. Very disappointing. I sent feedback to them. Twice.

As the national data aggregate websites standardize, you will see the customization level decrease since they can't standardize the definition of "view" Is that looking up at the mountains or down at the city lights or ? However, teaming up with a local Realtor in your area does allow you to customize the settings if the local agents understands how to use a database and use saved searches.

Thank you for that information. If Realtor.com and move.com have anything to do with Rupert Murdoch, I'm out. I'll never use those sites again. I'm not giving even 5 cents for an ad click to that POS.
