Curious about what questions they asked you... however, if you gave them your name, they could have possibly googled you and checked out your social media, and discovered something that they did not think would be a good fit.
if the online application was malfunctioning - it's possible the rejection was due to an incomplete application. Instead of assuming you were being discriminated against, why not call and ask?
For goodness sake, we can't sue everytime something doesn't go the way we want it. If you really feel wronged, ask them why you were rejected, maybe the vacancy had already been filled. Consult a lawyer for legal advice.

OP - There’s your answer. You were screened and found to be non compatible with existing tenants. Not any different than meeting with a possible roommate and getting a No Thanks.
