Amy, here is some helpful info that I found out for you. Here is the link to Missouri's DMV if you want to read more in depth...but the gist of it is copied below for you!

Missouri Relocation Guide - MO Moving Guide - DMV Guide

Applying for Your Missouri Driver's License
As a new Missouri resident, you have 30 days to surrender your out-of-state driver's license and apply for a Missouri driver's license. You can complete the application process at your nearest driver's license office. Bring appropriate documentation.

Testing requirements for new Missouri residents depend on the status of your out-of-state license. If your out-of-state license is currently valid or has been expired for less than 184 days, you'll just need to complete a short vision screening and road sign recognition test to receive your Missouri driver's license.

If your license has been expired for more than 184 days, you'll also need to complete a written exam based on the information in Missouri's Driver Guide and pass a supervised driving skills test.

Registering Your Vehicle
New Missouri residents must register their motor vehicles within 30 days of establishing residency. To ensure that your vehicle is legally registered with the Missouri Department of Revenue's Motor Vehicle Bureau, you must complete an Application for Missouri Title and License. If you own more than one vehicle, you must complete a separate application for each vehicle you wish to register

If you're a new-to-Missouri driver, you don't have to take the written test unless your out-of-state license has been expired for more than 184 days. You do, however, have to take the vision and road sign tests.

Me and my roomie are going to my sisters/bil's for dinner. I LOVE Thanksgiving --love all the food!!

I think that is a great idea for you and Mr.L to go out for dinner! Why should you cook for someone who is never happy!

Savor that wine Stoy! I know how you feel--I HATE my job! I cannot wait to quit. I have worked so many different places and this ICU I am working in now really SUCKS. I found out last night we are now officially the H1N1 unit--all cases come to our ICU (there are over 8 ICU's in our hospital). GREAT--that means I DEFINITELY have to get that dreaded vaccine or risk getting sick. We currently have a 28 yr old who was pregnant and lost the baby, is on a ventilator and on ECMO (google it--not a good scenario for this young lady) because of the H1N1 flu.

As for you, there is nothing you can do to change others being disrespectful towards you ...all you can do is change the way you react or not react to their ignorance. Vent away and cry on our shoulders. {{{HUGS}}}

Stay safe and dry, Carol! That is good news that places are selling around you. WHATEVER happened to the couple who loved your house and their only concern was how far from town you were?

I will surely take pics of Bella Boo in her diapers!!
Can't wait to see them LOL dang I wish I still had the pics of Sasha wearing mens underwear was so funny, but better than the dripping thing.

Glad you're having some good weather girl and love your choice of restaurants lol glad you're not going to put yourself through the stress of cooking for someone who is never happy - who the heck needs that.

I just have been going through the hassel of getting my professional license in Missouri...needed two verifications...one from the National Board, and one from the State Board, plus an application that needed to be notarized.

Speaking of licenses. My drivers license is up for renewal here in NY. It's good for 8 years, but figures it's up for renewal by my birthday this December. Will I have to get one in Missouri in order to register the cars there? Wonder if they will accept the NY State license, but just change it over to Missouri. Anyone dealt with this before? Well I'm still driving with my colorado license lol so . . . guess I'm not the one to ask. Only been asked for it twice, once with my fender bender and all they did was admire the picture

Still no closing date.

Dang girl, call your agent and ask them what's up?

Shelly, I bet Watson and Bella will have cute puppies, lol! If Mr. Sooty can sneak out of his cage, then I bet highly intelligent little Watson will figure out a way to do the deed with Bella.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH lol they would be cute but not sure Shel's ready to be a grandma

It's so warm here today...feels like late summer...weird.

Weather crazy everywhere girl. Just crazy.

Lacey, I can't believe you made food for 125 people. What was the event, and how the heck did you do that...48 hours of straight cooking? Was that out of your household kitchen?

I can't even imagine cooking for that many people! Course she is Wonder Woman

Dogmom, getting all the stuff put away? How are you feeling today?

Yeah Barb, how ya feeling today? Wish the doc would get you on a good pain management program. Hugs.

Crazyma, what's the latest with DD and DGD?
Yeah Sara, has DD found a permanent job? Hope DGD helping you with the chores and floors - hey I made a rhyme

Joy, we're flying into Albuquerque, so remind me to do that when we drive out to move out there in a few months!!!
Honey what a shame about those kids and yeah, parents who don't teach their kids basick manners and social skills. You know to this day DS says please and thank you to even waiters! Made sure when he was young he learned to appreciate everyone and our part of the wheel of life.

Didn't now you were flying to Albuquerque so let me know when you arrive lol and I'll give you 'directions' HAHAHAHA

OOOOH SHELLY just realized the Steelers are playing the Bronco's tonight - so sorry I will be rooting for my old home team. Please don't hate me lol but GO BRONCOS hahahaha - should be a good game, but even psuedo today said that the Steelers are so tough that . . . . well, let's just say even though a Bronco fan he thinks the Steelers will pull it out.

ARE YA READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL!!!!!!!!!!!!

So poor Misty - today first day spent most of the day at the office and little thing didn't eat the entire time I was gone Came home at about 4:30PM and I could hear her crying for me Maritza my neighbor (landlady) was out watering my flowers for me AH and Big Mama was there too (she's like 5' tall - maybe - lol but she's Mama, ya know?) so we chatted about Misty in my broken Spanish. Now she's curled up on my lap sleeping and hate to move her but have some fried chicken in the fridge and need another cerveza so have to. Feel bad 'cause first time I've left her for any length of time, but know she'll get like Albert where she realizes I ALWAYS will come home.

Annie ya into that zin yet LOL how's it going with you guys? Anyway, must move Misty and grab a cerveza and my chicken (if I dare) Afraid once Misty smells it since she hasn't eaten well, we'll be fighting over it so might have to wait until she's eaten some of her kibble.

Big howdy to everyone and, of course, I'll check back in. Need to grab that cerveza though. One of 'those' days. Ugh.

Shelly, thanks for the information! You are so sweet. I really, really appreciate it. That's scary about your ICU. You sound like you are at high risk, but maybe it's not so bad, as you are used to maintaining sanitary conditions, and use infection control precautions. Last year, I had to take Tamiflu, as I was exposed and working closely (hand over hand) with a student who had Type A flu. They never said whether it was H1N1, but my coworker and I didn't want to find out the hard way. She actually started having symptoms, but taking the Tamiflu warded it off.

NJ, pumpkintini...sounds delicious. How's the donut man, and the scrubber? I can't believe tht your almost done with your Christmas shopping. That is amazing!

Lacey, going out to Thanksgiving to a casino would be such a blast.

Stoy, it is really hard to deal with total disrespect, from mouthy kids, and still have empathy when you are getting verbally blasted. Did you ever see the Monty Python routine, something about the department of arguments? When working with difficult students who are oppositional defiant types, I always think of the absurdity of it, and it makes me giggle. I admire you for dealing with that type of stress. Are you going to do the same kind of work in Colorado?

Painter...how's the weather? Hope you are okay.

Joy, that's so sad about Misty, but like you said, she'll soon learn that you're coming back.

Have a good night everyone. Have to take my son's cat Spencer to the vet at 7:45 for his shots.
