Well, at least according to this recipe. Saw this on "The Chew" and think I will try it out! It is made in a zip-loc bag...

Carla Hall Freezer Bag Ice Cream

LOVE homemade ice cream, but I have never bought an ice cream maker (several members of the family have them.)

Once in a while it would be nice to have some without a big family get together. When I saw this recipe it really got my attention! If nothing else my arms will get toned

It only makes 2 servings, but hey, how many do I need?

I've done this version with students before; it's even easier. You can do it with freezer bags or with concentric cans.

Thank you both for posting about the ice cream in the freezer bags. I haven't done this in years.

If you really want to try it out for big family gatherings, a lot of rental places have ice cream makers for rent.
