My husband and I recently visited an authentic German restaurant where they had the most wonderful peach fluff dessert. I don't think it was specifically German, but for the life of me, I cannot figure out how the owner got it so creamy and fluffly. (she won't divulge the recipe . . . she just said it was a cheesecake . . . no way).
It was in a 9 x 13' pan (not cut like a round cheesecake). The crust was homemade graham cracker, but she also sprinkled some of it on top of the finished dessert.
The inside had a cream cheese taste, with the main flavor being Peach. She had chunks of peaches in it. It was EXTREMELY light and fluffy.
I tried a cheesecake and adding beaten egg whites . . . . it was good, but still not the same.
Anyone ever hear of something like this or have a recipe they'd be willing to share?
I have a recipe at home (Im at work hehe) for a Peach Melba bavarian dessert.. has some differences but the "pie" sounds similar- very light and fluffy like a "whipped" yogurt. I think it also had peach chunks in it, I know it also uses lady fingers..I'll bring it tommorrow..
