I work in the technology sector so technology is a part of life, but still it makes me scratch my head when a neighbor in the next cubicle IM's me, its like we have forgotten how to be social, and I see it on these boards too, people dont seem to know how to socialize from beyond their keyboards.

People at work act shocked if you pick up the phone or walk over and just TALK to them.
I mean, ping someone to see if they've got a minute to talk, but why on earth carry on an entire conversation over IM, when the person is RIGHT there in the room?
or single might mean that the person doesnt really care to change it, I know people who have a relationship status of single that are involved, but just don't really care to change it.
