I, personally, wouldn't do it. Instead, I would tell her that she and her friend are welcome to meet some of my friends and me at a club or bar or something. Safer, less pressure, and if they flake out and stand you up, you're already out having a good time with your buds.
Doesn't sound like something strange to me, lol! Maybe she's just really into you. And her friend coming along isn't all that surprising. You're probably still in the "stranger" category in her mind and she is probably just bringing the friend along as a safety measure. No biggie!

TVSG, let me introduce you to a pretty sharp woman with a good personality and appears to have some common sense. You should consider driving to NJ, sounds like you'd be in good safe hands for dinner.

What hotel is she going to stay at? Remember that if you pick an expensive restaurant to call ahead to make a reservation. She might just want to hang out with someone local so that you guys can go out on the town. Also, is she there specifically to meet you? How long have you known her?

Thanks for the compliments, darling! I do not have an SO at the moment. However, I'm not sure if TVandSportsGuy is my type, I don't like watching sports on TV...I'd rather play them (although I only like to play certain sports). Don't get me wrong, I like eating pizza and having a beer/soda while the Superbowl is on...just make sure that there's enough food and drinks there to keep me happy; I get hungry!

It sounds crazy that she doesn't want to have to inject herself with an epipen because she has a severe allergy? she actually wants to be able to eat something at dinner that she will not die eating.
