Yep! The days of hot rollers, bad perms, and really good music.

*sigh*...

My mom took me to get a "body wave" when I was in 7th grade. I cried. Like the 7th grade didn't suck enough as it was. I don't know how many times I got "finger in the lightsocket" jokes. That was more than a body wave!!! Hot rollers entered the picture in college.

But, hey, it was the style, then.

I still listen to U2, REM, The Cure, Van Halen... the 80s were awesome.

You poor thing! My hair was always straight as a board and I doubt a perm would have done a thing other than dry it out!

My hair is confused. It's not super wavy, not super straight, somewhere in the middle. And it REFUSED to let me have "wings" a la Farrah Fawcett. It wouldn't hold no matter how much hairspray I used, so I had "weird" hair. I envied those girls with wings!!!

Then in the 8th grade I took a picture of Olivia Newton John in to the salon to get that short haircut she had when she did "Physical", and when I went to school someone told me my hair looked like Simon Lebon's.

Haha, my hair is straaaaight. I had the Farrah cut in junior high, made it work with hot rollers, but when it wasn't curled, not so much...

LOL, you poor hair-traumatized thing.
