As a general rule people who are physically fit are better in the bedroom than those who are not.
Of course there are exceptions to every rule. But in your experience is it true? I havn't been with many fatties so wouldn't know
Hard call, I'm not a marathon runner or anything but I never had trouble keeping up with my younger lover, in fact it has been the case that he tires before me. Likewise back in my single days, I had a b/f that was the same age as me, I would have considered him as having an "average" body type (not overweight, not super muscular and not underweight) and he had no problem satisfying me either.
I think for me it's not how good of shape you are in per se but that you have stamina. I walk, ride horses, etc... so I'm pretty active - now once it gets colder I won't be AS active because I really don't like the cold but I do okay for being 40.

I've never been with a fat guy. I have been with guys that were not fat, but also not physically fit. And I have been with very fit guys. I would say that generally, the talent is not discriminating between them.
Truth be told, the most fit (very lean and very very buff ) guy I've been with, was the least able to perform. It was really frightening - my first venture back into intimacy since I was divorced, and I was thinking "OMG is this all there is?? ".
But there are certainly a couple of standouts in the crowd.

You know, I've heard quite a bit of anecdotal evidence to that effect, too...

Doesn't surprise me actually, people who take personal fitness to an extreme I believe that is not uncommon.
Too much of anything ain't healthy.
If people are somewhat prejudiced against overweight partners I imagine they would be great lovers, after all they're missing out while all the fit people are doing each other.
