the bookkeper at my company who then became the controller lived at home until she got hitched at 49 and then moved in with hubby. she was a spoiled brat who always made little digs at my lifestyle of moving out of my parents house and renting a small apartment
after she separated from my company for reasons that weren't clear (rumor has it that she couldn't deal with the fact that other people were suddenly hired who were encroaching on some of her responsibilities) i guess she figured she couldn't control or boss as many people around as she used to so in order to keep doing that she found a husband and finally moved out
Hmmm, nobody is coming to mind. My brother did on and off for years, but he had a serious illness. One of my gf's temporarily separated from dh a few years ago and he stayed with his parents during that time.
I've known many. Most have lived on their own at some point and returned for one of several different reasons. I've knows at least 3 lifelong bachelors who lived with their widowed mothers until their deaths too. All 3 had some kind of "issues" that made it hard for them to live alone. Everyone and every family works different, to each their own I say!
Nope. I have known people that moved back home for short periods of time to care for an ill parent or because they themselves were ill, but no one that never left or moved back for a long period of time.
In the Asian cutlure, it is ok for the children to live with family all the time, even after they are married.
