I was reading a comment in another thread and it got me thinking.
If you were to take a geeky, socially awkward male and an equally geeky, socially awkward female, the socially awkward female would have a better social life and a better love life.

Why do you think this is
What are you basing that on? There are tons of socially awkward girls that can't get a date to save their lives.
As with everything, it really depends. I'm socially awkward myself and I've generally been attracted in people who were kinda like myself. My idea of a fun time may not be the same as a person who is socially active, so it's pretty important for me to find people that share the same interest. For example, if I meet a girl that likes to party a lot and likes to be out the house all the time, there's a good chance we won't work out. But if I meet a girl, that doesn't mind just chilling in the house, geeky as I am, and likes the occasional outing, then she's a keeper for me.
With that said, I don't believe in the myth that socially awkward guys got a harder time finding chicks that are compatible with them. Yes, it's harder to find the right girl in the general population more often than not, but if you know where to look it's not hard at all.
Not the ones I come in contact with. They say their into nerdy things but they usually have a group of friends and/or are seeing someone.
Okay, so your question is rooted in a belief that is dependent upon the world working as if your group of female friends is somehow a representative little microcosm?
Oh wait, maybe that's why we shouldn't use anecdotal evidence to support theories?
