A co-worker of mine told me she thinks 9 of 10 cheat on their gf's bf's, wives, husbands, S/Os. Anyways her statement really got my thinking about what percentage actually cheat
What do you guys think?
This includes both married people, and people who are not married but are in a serious relationship
Stats I've seen range between 30-50% for men, and 20-40% for women - for married people. I think the percentages may be higher for non-married people, because they haven't vowed monogamy even if they've commited to exclusive relationships - the bar is lower.
The majority of reports from people I know who did or were cheated on most of the time it was after a few years of everything being happy or things are still good between them but someone strayed anyway. So what does that say?

I think it says that human nature is stronger than human culture. We can't change human nature, and it's very difficult to change human culture, but very, very slowly it is changing - towards greater acceptance of the realities of human nature.
